  I would first like to say the staff here were very pleasant. Which is why I'm even giving this review stars at all. I am displeased with the experience with the dentist herself and what I'm currently trying to heal from. I had my appointment the 13th of December, it is now the 18th. my jaw is very very sore still causing a massive headache. The teeth worked on are aching. It hurts to eat. My gums are really torn up, along with the creases of my mouth. Dr. Janet began drilling on a filling before I was numb, she seemed in a hurry, though she responded to my pain with concern by quickly poking me another three times on top of the first two shots to numb the area. The issue was she first put the needle in my cheek, so I felt every bit of drilling and the teeth were extremely sensitive to cold.. the water and suction created a lot of discomfort along with the drill that causes a cold wind. The creases of my mouth were held open with their tools that ultimately rubbed it raw causing canker sores. I tried to hold my mouth open as best I could even when I couldn't feel half my nose or throat, I started gagging on pieces of old filling debris, she stuffed gauze into my upper lip, whatever happened there left the corner of my gums cut. I had even mentioned that I had bit my cheek while sleeping and caused a canker sore but I suffer from these terribly since having a baby, everything causes them for me, stress, I can't eat chips or anything too spicy or sour without causing them so I'm cautious. I was having two teeth worked on. a tooth refilled since it had cracked, another for sensitivity. Dr. Janet remarked about how I needed it crowned, and that this filling would only last so long.. that it's definitely going to break, to just know it really needed a crown.. which is unsettling, but maybe I would have felt more confident in that assessment if my appointment had been handled with more care. I suppose she just lacks people skills or any warmth at all. But the statement made about getting a $1,000 crown vs a $200 filling with insurance they won't accept, and no option of a payment plan AND no discount for paying that day in full... Then again my appointment was only 23 grueling minutes long, I can't possibly judge her character. only by what I experienced, there is enough to say, I will never again darken the doorway to this office.
